A grey Nissan Qashqai was stolen from outside a property in the Berrycroft area of Berkeley after thieves tampered with vehicle doors. The incident occurred sometime between 10.30am on Tuesday, 1 September, and 5.40am on Wednesday, 2 September.
The Stroud Neighbourhood Policing team appealed on social media for anyone who may have witnessed the theft or suspicious behaviour in the area to come forward. Local residents reported seeing a man and a woman acting suspiciously, trying car door handles and stealing items from vehicles.
The police spokesperson emphasised the importance of vehicle owners taking precautions, such as removing valuables and parking in well-lit areas, to reduce the risk of theft. Those with CCTV or dashcam footage relevant to the case are encouraged to share it with Gloucestershire Constabulary.
