A grey Nissan Qashqai was stolen from outside a property in the Berrycroft area of Berkeley between 10.30am on Tuesday, 1 September, and 5.40am on Wednesday, 2 September. The vehicle’s doors had been tampered with, prompting a police investigation.
The Stroud Neighbourhood Policing team has appealed to the public for any information regarding the incident. Reports from local residents indicate that a man and a woman were seen acting suspiciously in the area. It is believed they may have been attempting car door handles and potentially stealing items from vehicles.
Police have urged anyone who witnessed the theft or suspicious behaviour during the specified timeframe to come forward. In addition, those with CCTV or dashcam footage that might assist the investigation are encouraged to share it with Gloucestershire Constabulary.

A police spokesperson commented: “Criminals are quick to exploit any opportunity they are presented with, such as taking advantage of unlocked vehicles. We advise vehicle owners to remove valuable items when leaving their cars overnight and, where possible, to park in well-lit areas.”
