A dramatic burst pipe in Matson, Gloucester, sent a powerful spout of water shooting nearly 20 feet into the air early Thursday morning. The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. on January 29, when water began forcefully gushing from the ground on Haycroft Drive.
Severn Trent Water, responsible for the area’s water supply, quickly dispatched teams to the scene. Fortunately, the company confirmed that no customers have lost water service due to the pipe burst. Repair crews are actively working to shut off the water flow and carry out necessary repairs as swiftly and safely as possible.
A local witness estimated the height of the water fountain at around 20 feet, underscoring the intensity of the burst. Severn Trent Water has acknowledged that their increased presence and ongoing repair efforts may cause some temporary disruptions but thanked residents for their understanding and patience during this time.
