Early this morning, a significant burst pipe in the Gloucester suburb of Matson sent a dramatic plume of water shooting approximately 20 feet into the air. The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. on Haycroft Drive, drawing attention from local residents and passersby.
Severn Trent Water, the authority responsible for water services in Gloucester, quickly dispatched teams to the scene. Fortunately, the company confirmed that no customers have experienced a loss of water supply due to the burst. Efforts are underway to shut off the water flow and carry out necessary repairs safely and efficiently.
One eyewitness described the water spurt as a towering fountain, highlighting the severity of the pipe breakage. Severn Trent Water apologized for any inconvenience caused by the increased activity in the area and thanked the community for their understanding and patience during the repairs.
