Police are investigating two connected burglaries in Cinderford, where intruders forced their way into homes by smashing doors and windows.
The first incident occurred around 10:05 pm on Thursday, May 7, when two burglars broke a conservatory window at a Belle Vue Road property. Inside, while the elderly occupant slept, they rummaged through a room and stole two jewellery boxes containing items of great sentimental value.
The second burglary took place between 8:50 pm on May 7 and 2:00 am on May 8 at a property on The Oak Field. The suspects gained entry by breaking a patio door and conducted an extensive search of the house, filling a pillowcase with rings, watches, and earrings.

Following the Belle Vue Road burglary, police conducted house-to-house inquiries and reviewed CCTV footage, identifying that the culprits arrived in a vehicle resembling a Mercedes Benz. They reportedly parked outside the property facing uphill traffic before fleeing toward Littledean.
Authorities believe the two break-ins are linked and are appealing to the public for information. Anyone who witnessed suspicious behavior or has relevant details is urged to contact Gloucestershire Police.
