Bristol Rovers Midfielder Isaac Hutchinson Rejoins Cheltenham Town

Cheltenham Town have completed their January transfer window business by re-signing midfielder Isaac Hutchinson from Bristol Rovers.

Hutchinson quickly became a fan favourite during his initial spell this season, netting eight goals across 18 starts and one substitute appearance. His memorable debut featured a stunning 20-yard free-kick just two minutes in, securing a 1-0 victory over Accrington Stanley.

The 25-year-old was recalled by his parent club on January 6 but has now returned to Cheltenham Town for the remainder of the 2025/26 season, covering the final 16 League Two matches.

Hutchinson’s arrival marks Cheltenham’s third signing on deadline day and their sixth overall this January, after bringing in George Nurse, Cole Deeming, Josh Davison, and Wrexham duo Harry Ashfield and Mo Faal. Additionally, Jake Bickerstaff’s loan from Wrexham has been made permanent.

Meanwhile, defender Ibrahim Bakare and midfielder Harrison Sohna are expected to leave the club.

Cheltenham Town will face MK Dons at home this Saturday at 3 pm in their next League Two fixture.
