Gloucestershire Police are appealing for information to identify the owner of a dog that bit a 12-year-old boy near a canal path in Quedgeley. The incident occurred around 12:30 pm on Thursday, June 18, near Darleydale Close.
The boy was riding his scooter when a grey Whippet dog approached, jumped up, and bit him on the foot, causing minor injuries. Witnesses report that the dog’s owner, described as a white woman, restrained the dog with a leash but did not stop to check on the boy’s condition before walking away.
Authorities have launched an investigation to locate the woman and urge her to come forward to provide her account. Police are also requesting that anyone present at the scene with relevant information contact them to assist the inquiry.
