Tom King, a 19-year-old forward who progressed through the Cheltenham Town academy, has signed a contract with Bolton Wanderers after a successful trial period.
The striker was released by Cheltenham Town at the conclusion of last season. He has now committed to a two-year deal with Bolton, with an option to extend for an additional year. Initially, King will join the club’s Under-21s squad as he continues his development.
Hailing from Dursley, King made 11 appearances for Cheltenham’s first team, netting a goal in an EFL Trophy fixture against West Ham United Under-21s in October 2024. He also marked a milestone by becoming Cheltenham’s youngest ever Football League player, debuting in League One against Shrewsbury Town at the start of the 2023/24 season.

During the previous season, King had a loan spell at Worthing, where he scored in a 4-0 home victory over Hemel Hempstead. Unfortunately, this loan was shortened due to injury, but the young forward is now looking forward to proving himself at Bolton Wanderers.
