Body Discovered in Search for Missing Forest of Dean Man

Tragedy has struck the Forest of Dean community as the search for missing 77-year-old Graham has come to a sorrowful conclusion. After weeks of widespread efforts, the Severn Area Rescue Association (SARA), a dedicated volunteer lifeboat and inland search and rescue charity, located the body of a man on Sunday afternoon, March 29.

Though formal identification is pending, police have informed Graham’s family of the discovery. Gloucestershire Police confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

“We express our deepest gratitude to everyone who aided in the search,” a police spokesperson stated, acknowledging the invaluable support from SARA volunteers, law enforcement officers, and members of the public who shared information and sightings.

Graham was last seen at approximately 8:30 AM on Tuesday, March 3, near Ellwood Road in Milkwall, close to Coleford. Following his disappearance, major search operations were undertaken in the surrounding area, though details regarding the exact location of the body remain undisclosed.

The police extend their heartfelt condolences to Graham’s family during this difficult time.
