The Kingsway BMX Pump Track in Gloucester has been closed indefinitely following repeated vandalism that has compromised the safety of the facility. Gloucester City Council confirmed that the gates have been locked as holes were dug beneath the track, rendering it unsafe for use.
This is not the first time the BMX park has faced such issues. The track was previously closed in July 2025 for the same reason. To combat the vandalism, the council resurfaced the track with new tarmac and reopened it in October. Unfortunately, the recent damage has forced another closure.
A spokesperson for Gloucester City Council said, “The BMX Track at Kingsway has had to be closed until further notice due to continuous vandalism. Despite resurfacing efforts, some users have dug holes beneath the track, making it unsafe. We have locked the gates temporarily and will provide updates as soon as possible.”

The council remains committed to maintaining a safe environment for riders but urges the community to help protect the facility from further damage.
