Bishop’s Cleeve is poised to finalize the signing of Zack Kotwica, a 30-year-old winger formerly of Cheltenham Town, on Thursday.
Kotwica first emerged in the Cheltenham Town first team in 2013 under manager Mark Yates. During his time with the Robins, he made nine league starts and appeared 26 times as a substitute, scoring two memorable goals. Among these was a spectacular strike in a 1-1 draw against Mansfield Town and another key goal in a home draw with Luton Town.
A Gloucester native, Kotwica gained early senior experience on loan spells with Bishop’s Cleeve, Gloucester City, and Cirencester Town. After departing Cheltenham in 2016, he signed permanently with Gloucester City. He later had stints at Tamworth and Salisbury, returning to Gloucester City in 2018.

In 2020, Kotwica joined Swindon Supermarine before moving to Hungerford in the summer of last year. Notably, his former Hungerford teammate Harry Williams also recently signed for Bishop’s Cleeve, linking up with manager Paul Collicutt.
Bishop’s Cleeve, currently sixth in the Southern League Division One South, will host Westbury United at home this Saturday, with kickoff at 3 pm.
