Biker Killed and Passenger Seriously Injured in Ampney St Peter Crash Outside Pub

A tragic motorcycle accident in Ampney St Peter has claimed the life of a rider and left his pillion passenger seriously injured. The crash occurred outside the Red Lion pub on London Road on the evening of June 25.

Gloucestershire Police received reports of the incident at approximately 6:55 pm, involving a black BMW S 1000 RR Sport motorbike that struck a wall near the pub. Emergency services responded promptly.

The rider, a man in his 50s from Swindon, was treated at the scene but succumbed to his injuries. His family has been informed. The passenger, a late-teenaged male also from Swindon, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Great Western Hospital for urgent medical care.

Following the accident, roads linking Ampney St Peter and Poulton were temporarily closed for collision investigation but are now reopened. Authorities are seeking information from anyone who witnessed the collision or captured relevant dashcam footage.
