Big Cat Expert Launches New Sunday Car Boot Sale at Pub on the A38

A brand-new Sunday car boot sale is set to open next weekend just outside Gloucester, offering bargain hunters a delightful way to spend their Sunday mornings. The Big Bonanza Car Boot Sale will take place at the picturesque Fromebridge Mill pub and restaurant, nestled alongside the A38 in Whitminster.

Starting June 22, the event will run every Sunday from 6 am to noon, weather permitting. Visitors can browse a variety of secondhand goods while enjoying the convenience of nearby food and drinks from the pub and on-site vendors.

Entry is just 50p per person, with free admission for children. The event is dog-friendly and features ample customer parking and clean restroom facilities. For younger visitors, a bouncy castle adds an element of fun, while a fruit and vegetable stall and ice cream van (on sunny days) complete the welcoming atmosphere.

The car boot sale is managed by Frank Tunbridge, a 79-year-old big cat expert from Podsmead. Frank explained his motivation for launching the new Sunday market: “People who visit my Saturday car boot sale in Dursley have been asking for a Sunday option closer to Gloucester. Fromebridge Mill is only about 10 minutes away from Gloucester, easily accessible off junction 13 of the M5 via the A38.”

He added, “Another great reason to visit is the option to enjoy a delicious Sunday roast at the Fromebridge Mill pub after the sale finishes at noon. We’re excited to welcome everyone to this new community event.”

Whether you’re looking to declutter, score a bargain, or enjoy a family outing with food and entertainment, the Big Bonanza Car Boot Sale at Fromebridge Mill promises a fun and friendly experience every Sunday.
