In Gloucestershire, the tradition of announcing the passing of loved ones in local news media remains a respectful and heartfelt practice. We are honoured to be entrusted with sharing these important announcements, offering families a lasting tribute on both our newspaper and online at funeral-notices.co.uk — the UK’s leading site for death notices and memorials.
Each notice remains accessible online indefinitely, providing a secure place for friends and families to share memories, add tributes, upload photographs, and make donations in remembrance.
This week, we pause to pay tribute to many beloved members of our community:

Reverend Canon Hugh Broad passed peacefully at Gloucester Royal Hospital, surrounded by his wife Jackie and family. His funeral will be held at Gloucester Cathedral on Tuesday 19th May at 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Donkey Sanctuary and Dogs Trust.
A cherished husband, father, grandmother, and great-grandmother among others are remembered with services across Gloucestershire, including tributes to dedicated mums, devoted dads, and loving grandparents. Many families have requested donations to causes close to their hearts such as Great Oaks Hospice, British Heart Foundation, Teenage Cancer Trust, Marie Curie, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Sue Ryder, Alzheimer’s Society, and more.
Funeral services will take place throughout the coming weeks in locations including Gloucester Crematorium, Holy Innocents Church Highnam, St Laurence Church Longney, Cheltenham Crematorium, and others, with friends and family invited to pay their respects and celebrate the lives of those departed.
We extend our deepest sympathies to all families and friends mourning the loss of their loved ones. To read the full notices, add your own tribute, or create a funeral notice, please visit funeral-notices.co.uk or contact our team directly.
