BBC Gardeners' World’s Adam Frost Leaves Viewers in Tears as Co-Star Breaks Down Emotionally

Gardeners' World viewers were deeply touched by a poignant segment featuring presenter Adam Frost at the Bedfords Park Walled Garden near Romford, which will be rebroadcast this evening.

This remarkable garden, dating back to the 1700s when it served as an estate kitchen garden, has been lovingly restored by a dedicated group of community volunteers led by Lois Amos, a retired horticultural lecturer. During his visit to the carefully rejuvenated garden, Adam praised Lois and her team for their passion and hard work.

Adam remarked, “Lois, you have an amazing group of volunteers, don’t you? They share your passion for this place.”

With a smile, Lois replied, “Yes, I’ve infected them with it,” to which Adam teasingly responded, “You have infected them, knowing you.”

Lois spoke passionately about her vision for the garden: “We try to instill in everyone that this is a very historic setting, and these places need protection, conservation—and they need using and loving,” as reported by the Express.

Adam wholeheartedly agreed: “I couldn’t put it better. You’ve just given me goosebumps. It’s that sense of legacy—it’s brilliant, absolutely.”

Overwhelmed with emotion, Lois tearfully said, “Thank you. I’ve gone all gooey now, all emotional.”

Adam gently comforted her, saying, “Bless you,” and the two shared a warm embrace.

Ahead of the upcoming repeat of the episode originally aired in 2025, Gardeners' World’s official Instagram gave fans a heartfelt preview. The post featured a photo of Adam and Lois with the caption: “Adam’s visit to @BedfordsParkWalledGarden in Essex was one of our favourite films of 2025.
