Fans of Gardeners' World received a disappointing update during Friday’s episode as host Adam Frost revealed the show’s upcoming schedule changes.
The episode, broadcast live from the RHS Hampton Court Garden Festival, featured Adam Frost alongside Rachel de Thame and Frances Tophill. While the presenters enjoyed showcasing the annual event’s highlights, their closing remarks carried a somber tone.
Rachel de Thame informed viewers, “Well unfortunately that’s it for us from the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival but the show is open until Sunday and I really recommend you come along if you can.”

Adam Frost then shared the crucial news: “And I’m sad to say we won’t be here next week because of Wimbledon but the following week we’ll be at RHS Flower Show Wentworth Woodhouse.” Frances added, “It’s a new stunning location for our last flower show of the season so hopefully we’ll see you there.”
The episode also focused on important garden topics, such as helping support the declining hedgehog population with practical gardening advice. Viewers were treated to a visit to a chilli farm in South Devon, exploring various chilli varieties.
A special guest appearance by former Strictly Come Dancing champion Bill Bailey added a unique touch. The comedian discussed his passion for nature and bird watching with Adam. Bill shared that his love for the outdoors started in childhood, inspired by family outings to bird sanctuaries and reserves.
“My mum was the one who really instilled this desire for me to love nature,” Bill revealed. “She would often say, ‘I just want you to love nature,’ and that mantra has stayed with me my entire life.”
Bill described his garden as a sanctuary where he can unwind after touring, emphasizing how much joy he finds in being surrounded by nature.
Gardeners' World continues to inspire garden enthusiasts, despite the brief hiatus next week caused by Wimbledon coverage. The show is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
