BBC Fans Eager to Binge New Spin-Off Featuring Repair Shop Star Dominic Chinea

Great news for fans of Dominic Chinea, the beloved expert from The Repair Shop—he’s back on our screens with an exciting new spin-off series, I Made It at Market. This follow-up to the 2023 hit Make It at Market sees Dominic returning to reconnect with talented makers who have successfully transformed their crafting hobbies into profitable ventures.

In the original series, Dominic teamed up with business and craft professionals to mentor aspiring entrepreneurs, guiding them as they launched their creative careers. Now, the new series revisits these makers to celebrate their progress and achievements since the first show aired.

Ahead of the series premiere on April 7, the official I Made It at Market Instagram shared a tantalizing preview. The clip features a range of skilled makers showcasing their crafts, accompanied by Dominic’s voiceover: “Our country is full of incredible makers dreaming of turning their talent into money-making careers.”

Now, I’m on my way to catch up with those who have made their dreams come true.”

Viewers get a glimpse of Dominic catching up with former participants who share their successes—including one man who proudly announces, “I’ve been able to put down a deposit on a house,” and another enjoying earnings close to £40,000 from his passion alone.

Dominic sums it up, inviting audiences to “join me and meet the fabulous makers who have transformed their lives and made it at market.”

Fans have expressed excitement about the return of the series. One participant joked about the teaser, “I can’t wait… going to binge them all I think! Had to show the clip of the untidiest part of the workshop, didn’t you.” Another wrote, “Exactly what we need on the telly right now!” while others chimed in with enthusiastic responses like “Yay, brilliant, can’t wait” and “Loved watching this here in New Zealand, it was rather inspiring.”
