Balaclava-Clad Thieves Steal Teen’s E-Bike in Gloucester

A teenage boy was robbed of his electric bike by three thieves in Gloucester on the afternoon of Thursday, April 17. The incident took place near Arundel Close in Tuffley at around 4 pm.

The group of three unknown males, all wearing black balaclavas, approached the teenager before one of them seized the e-bike and rode it down Arundel Close. He then continued through a nearby alleyway toward Chatsworth Avenue, while the other two suspects followed on foot. Gloucestershire Police noted that the group acted as if they were concealing weapons.

Witnesses described the suspects as black males, aged between 16 and 18 years old, and standing between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall. All wore black clothing and black balaclavas.

The suspect who took the bike had two reflective stripes on the cheek areas of his balaclava and carried a bag with a red strap slung across his body. The stolen electric bike is a black Carrera Hellcat with blue detailing on the frame and a battery pack; it has since been modified from its original appearance.

Authorities are actively investigating the theft and urge anyone with information about the incident or who may have seen a bike matching this description to come forward. Individuals offered a bike fitting this description are also encouraged to report it.
