Attempted Murder Investigation Launched After Man Stabbed in Cirencester

A man in his twenties remains hospitalized after being stabbed multiple times during an incident in Cirencester in the early hours of Saturday, May 24. Gloucestershire Constabulary has launched an attempted murder investigation in response.

Officers were dispatched to Matthews Walk at around 1 a.m. following reports of a seriously injured man. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim suffering from several stab wounds. He was promptly taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol, where he remains in serious condition.

A 32-year-old man from Cirencester has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the attack. Police continue to secure the scene and carry out inquiries to uncover the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
