Attempted Murder Charge Following Boxing Day Stabbing in Evesham

A 57-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing incident in Evesham on Boxing Day left a woman seriously injured.

Emergency services responded to a call at an address on Bewdley Street at approximately 6:45 pm on December 26, where a woman in her 60s suffered severe, potentially life-threatening injuries. She remains hospitalized.

West Mercia Police arrested Clive Harris of Castle Street, Evesham, at the scene. He has since been charged with attempted murder and is currently remanded in custody.

In a statement, West Mercia Police confirmed the details of the arrest and upcoming court appearance. Harris is scheduled to appear at the magistrates court soon for the charge brought against him.
