Armed Police Respond to Knife Incident in Gloucester, Young Man Arrested

Armed police were deployed to Bristol Road in Gloucester yesterday, Tuesday, June 3, after reports of a man carrying a knife. The call came in at approximately 11:55 a.m., prompting a swift response from local law enforcement.

Officers located and arrested a man in his 20s at an address on Slaney Street in connection with the incident. Armed officers were also observed on Hanman Road during the response. The suspect remains in police custody as investigations continue.

Gloucestershire Police confirmed the details, stating: “Officers received a report of a man with a knife on Bristol Road at around 11:55 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3. A man in his 20s was arrested at an address in Slaney Street, Gloucester, and is currently in police custody. Enquiries are ongoing.”
