Armed police were deployed to Hare Lane in Gloucester at around 1.20pm on Wednesday, August 6, following reports of a man making threats to kill. Upon arrival, officers encountered a significant police presence in the area as they responded to the situation.
A 19-year-old local man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of making threats to kill and theft of a motor vehicle. A section of Hare Lane was temporarily closed by police during the operation, with armed officers present to ensure public safety.
At the time of reporting, the man has been released on bail pending ongoing enquiries. Gloucestershire Police confirmed the arrest, stating, “A 19-year-old man from Gloucester was arrested in connection with a number of incidents, including on suspicion of making threats to kill and theft of a motor vehicle.”
