Armed officers launched a dramatic pursuit through residential gardens in Gloucester following reports of a man carrying a large knife.
The incident began around 4pm on June 18, when a member of the public alerted police to a suspicious individual in the Tredworth Road area. Upon arrival, officers located the man, who immediately fled, forcing his way into a nearby home.
The suspect then escaped the property, continuing his flight by jumping through neighbouring gardens. Police maintained the chase and apprehended him shortly thereafter. A knife was recovered at the scene.

The arrested individual, a 23-year-old local resident, is currently in police custody as investigations continue.
Officers from the Gloucester Neighbourhood Policing Team remain in the area today, offering reassurance to concerned residents.
