Gloucester City manager Daf Williams expressed his frustration after his team was held to a 1-1 draw against AFC Portchester in the FA Cup. Despite the draw allowing Gloucester City to remain in the competition, Williams described the result as feeling “like a defeat.”
The match saw both sides battling hard, but Gloucester City struggled to assert their dominance on the pitch. Williams lamented missed opportunities and moments of inconsistency, which ultimately cost his team a chance to secure a clear victory.
“This is another one that feels like a defeat for us,” Williams said. “We had the chance to push on and win the game, but we couldn’t capitalize. It’s disappointing because we wanted to progress confidently in the FA Cup.”
