Another friend shared, “It still feels surreal, and coming to terms with the loss of Sarah ‘Cranky Crook’ is incredibly hard. ‘Why’ will always linger in our minds. The last time we met, you told me I looked cute and weird in my new uniform. You believed in me, encouraged me without judgment, and comforted me when I succeeded. I will carry your wisdom and hug in my heart forever.”
A colleague fondly recalled, “Sarah was a kind and warm-hearted friend who brightened every shift with her laughter and care. She was loved deeply by everyone lucky enough to know her. Our last conversation over a night shift snack will stay with me always. Her friendship, support, and beautiful memories will be cherished.”
In honor of Sarah’s memory, a fundraiser has been established and has already raised more than £28,000, reflecting the community’s heartfelt support and admiration for the nurse whose life was so tragically cut short.
