Amanda Owen’s Series Replacement Announced as Our Farm Next Door Concludes

The beloved series Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive, and Kids came to a close last night, leaving viewers eager for more. Throughout the season, the Owen family made impressive progress renovating Anty John’s, their remote farmhouse. Amanda Owen, mother of nine, admitted there was still a long way to go before the transformation would be complete.

As the final episode ended, viewers saw the ongoing efforts at the farmhouse, with Amanda sharing that the family was “forging ahead” with the next stage of their project. A poignant final shot featured the house surrounded by workers, accompanied by the words “To Be continued…” hinting at future developments.

Though fans were disappointed to see the series end, they won’t have to wait long for new programming. The 9pm Tuesday slot on More4, previously held by Our Farm Next Door, will now be occupied by a new show called Matt Baker’s British Isles.

In the first episode of this new series, Matt Baker explores the diverse landscapes and communities of the UK. He visits Kent to meet an Englishman collaborating with a prestigious champagne house to create a unique Anglo-French sparkling wine. Later, he journeys to the Scottish Highlands to engage with two former farmers deeply connected to the village of Crathie’s church.

Reflecting on the challenges faced during the Our Farm Next Door renovation, Amanda Owen described the experience as a huge learning curve that brought the team closer together. She highlighted the unique difficulties of working in such a remote location where access is limited, the weather is harsh, and modern amenities are scarce. “You can’t even scroll on your phone at dinnertime! Nothing works, that’s a big ask,” she remarked candidly.

The series offered a rare glimpse into rural life and the day-to-day balancing act of running a farm while transforming a historic property. Fans can still catch up on Our Farm Next Door on the All4 streaming platform.
