Amanda Owen Shares Insightful Reflections on Rural Life with Daughter Clemmy

Amanda Owen, famed for her role on Channel 5’s Our Yorkshire Farm, recently shared thoughtful reflections on rural life as she worked alongside her daughter Clemmy on their Yorkshire farm amid biting winds.

The 51-year-old Yorkshire Shepherdess and her family have captivated viewers since 2018 with their authentic portrayal of life at Ravenseat Farm. More recently, they’ve been featured in Channel 4’s Our Farm Next Door, which documents their restoration of a 200-year-old farmhouse in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales.

In a heartfelt Instagram video posted ahead of the latest episode airing on More4, Amanda and Clemmy contrasted the glamour of a recent London visit with the gritty reality of farm work. Just a week prior, the duo appeared on ITV’s This Morning, sharing stories of rural life with hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley.

Standing in the fields against a backdrop of gusty winds, Amanda reminisced about their time in the capital, where Clemmy enjoyed luxury room service, before grounding the moment with the simple, honest pleasure of eating raw turnips on the farm.

Amanda remarked, “The idea that you are either urban or rural is wrong. I love city life and exploring London, but this—this is where it’s all at.” Clemmy chimed in, “You’ve got to do the hard work to get the reward.”

Their candid exchange resonated with fans, who flooded social media with praise for their genuine portrayal of farm life, calling the children an inspiration and applauding Amanda’s grounded approach to motherhood.

The new series of Our Farm Next Door continues to air Mondays at 9pm on More4, offering viewers a heartfelt glimpse into the realities and rewards of rural family life.
