During a recent episode of Heart Breakfast on June 4, Amanda Holden interrupted her co-host Jamie Theakston to defend the Beckhams after he made a sharp comment about their children amid a conversation on “nepo babies.” The discussion started when Ashley Roberts, formerly of the Pussycat Dolls, revealed gossip about Patrick Schwarzenegger, star of HBO’s The White Lotus and son of Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Patrick, 31, reportedly wants to distance himself from the “nepo baby” label but was advised against changing his last name. Amanda expressed her frustration with the media’s fixation on the term “nepo baby,” arguing it unfairly taints young talents who have earned their success independently. “If you’re not talented, it doesn’t matter who you’re related to, you will not make it,” she said.
Jamie countered, suggesting there are exceptions, even naming “maybe a Beckham,” to which Amanda quickly retorted, “Stop it! I won’t have their names sullied on this show.” The subject was swiftly dropped after Ashley attempted to redirect the conversation.

The Beckhams have frequently been targets of nepotism claims, especially their sons Cruz and Brooklyn. In 2024, Cruz Beckham faced criticism over a music teaser, defending himself by emphasizing his hard work despite his family’s fame. Brooklyn Beckham has openly acknowledged such accusations, stating that what matters most is pursuing happiness and kindness regardless of others' opinions.
