Hilton Puckrup Hotel & Golf Club in Tewkesbury has submitted plans to develop an exciting new nine-hole adventure golf course on its grounds. Located near the M5, the course will incorporate sleeper, rock, and stone edging and include themed props inspired by notable local landmarks and heritage.
According to a planning and heritage statement prepared by Zesta Planning, the course will be constructed on a current patio area at the rear of the hotel, close to one of the restaurant spaces. This development aims to enhance community wellbeing by offering inclusive leisure opportunities that cater to families, hotel guests, and local residents alike.
The adventure golf will serve as a complementary leisure addition to the hotel’s existing amenities, which already include a swimming pool, spa, and traditional golf course. The hotel anticipates that the primary users will be families who already frequent the hotel and golf club facilities.

By diversifying its leisure offerings, Hilton Puckrup hopes to strengthen its appeal, encouraging longer stays and increasing visitor spending. The project also promises to create both seasonal and permanent jobs in operations, maintenance, and hospitality, supporting local employment without expanding into undeveloped greenfield land.
Puckrup Hall, the main hotel building located on Puckrup Lane, is a Grade II listed structure with later extensions and modern additions. This new adventure golf project aligns with the hotel’s commitment to blend recreation and heritage, enriching the local tourism economy while preserving its unique character.
