The A46 in Shurdington will remain closed for an extended period after a collision involving a car and a Stagecoach bus. Gloucestershire Police responded to the crash near the Church Lane junction on Shurdington Road at around 1:30 pm on Monday, February 2.
Emergency responders including paramedics, firefighters, and police officers quickly arrived at the scene. Footage shows the bus having veered into a hedge alongside the road. Authorities have closed the road to assess and assist those involved thoroughly.
A police spokesperson stated shortly after 2 pm that the road closures are expected to last for some time. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes to reduce congestion and remain safe.

Stagecoach has been contacted for comment regarding the incident. Witnesses to the crash or anyone with dashcam footage who has yet to speak with police are encouraged to submit information using the online form referencing incident 189 of February 2.
