This afternoon, Monday, January 12, a two-vehicle collision on the A46 near Pitchcombe, close to Stroud, has resulted in one person being hospitalized. Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after 1:35 pm following reports of the crash involving two cars.
Paramedics assessed occupants from both vehicles on site, and one individual was transported to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with a broken arm. The incident has caused the A46 to be blocked in both directions, with a road closure currently enforced near the A4173 junction.
Gloucestershire Police remain on the scene managing the situation and advising motorists to avoid the area while emergency services work to clear the road.
