The A46 in Shurdington near Cheltenham will remain closed for an extended period after a collision involving a Stagecoach bus and a car earlier today. Gloucestershire Police were alerted to the incident at approximately 1:30pm on Monday, February 2nd, near the Church Lane junction along Shurdington Road.
Emergency services, including police, paramedics, and firefighters, are currently attending the scene. Visual reports indicate the Stagecoach bus veered off the road and crashed into a hedge. Paramedics are conducting assessments on all involved parties.
Police have confirmed that road closures are anticipated to continue for some time to ensure the safety of those on site and to facilitate the incident investigation. Motorists are strongly advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes until further notice.
