500-Year-Old Gloucestershire Gastropub Launches Community-Centered Campaign to Draw Visitors

The King’s Arms, a charming 500-year-old gastropub nestled in Prestbury, Gloucestershire, has unveiled an exciting new campaign aimed at fostering community spirit and encouraging locals to visit regularly. Known for its “quirky and quaint” atmosphere, the pub boasts inglenook fireplaces, exposed wooden beams, and cozy dining nooks that create a welcoming environment at every turn.

This historic gastropub is now featuring a unique daily program that highlights sustainably sourced, seasonal food and drinks alongside entertainment and community activities. Each day of the week offers a special experience designed to provide guests with meaningful reasons to gather, socialize, and celebrate local culture.

This initiative is part of a wider campaign rolled out across all 35 Heartwood pubs across the UK, underscoring the company’s commitment to creating warm, inviting spaces where communities can thrive.

Heartwood is also enhancing its guest experience through the recently launched ‘Treats’ app, which rewards loyalty and strengthens connections between the pubs and their patrons.

Richard Ferrier, CEO of Heartwood Collection, emphasized the heart behind the campaign: “Heartwood Inns has always been about more than just food and drink. With our new ‘Reasons to Visit’ initiatives, we’re creating spaces for community, connection, and celebration at our pubs. From quiz nights to Sunday roasts, it’s all about celebrating those core memories that many of us resonate with at our locals, alongside our usual outstanding offering.”
