From a humble gathering of 1,000 attendees to a thriving 15,000-strong crowd over 19 years, 2000Trees has firmly established itself as more than just a destination for rock and punk enthusiasts. Nestled at Upcote Farm near Cheltenham, this independent festival has evolved into a vibrant community event that embraces music lovers of all ages.
The 2026 edition faced an intense heatwave, yet festivalgoers—both devoted fans and newcomers—remained undeterred, immersing themselves in live music, comedy, and silent discos. What truly sets 2000Trees apart is its commitment to family inclusivity, reflected in its array of activities designed especially for children.
Young attendees, from newborns to teenagers, reveled in the festival atmosphere. Isaac, a 10-year-old who has been attending since age two, describes 2000Trees as a defining part of his life. “I’ve been coming to 2000Trees since I was little with my mum. It’s my earliest experience of live music, and I love it. I was excited about the silent disco," he shares. Even after missing a day due to illness, Isaac was eager to return and enjoyed every moment.

2026 also marked a milestone for Isaac’s family, as his 14-month-old baby brother experienced his first festival. Isaac is thrilled to share this special tradition and hopes his younger brother will grow up alongside the vibrant 2000Trees community.
Looking ahead, organisers have already announced the festival’s comeback from July 7-11, 2027, coinciding with its 20th anniversary celebration. With its forest school, playgrounds, and even a kids' mosh pit, 2000Trees continues to prove that a rock festival can be a welcoming haven for families, blending thrilling performances with unforgettable childhood memories.
