14-Year-Old Boy Charged Following Double Stabbing in Cirencester

A 14-year-old boy has been charged after a double stabbing incident at a residence on Upper Churnside, Cirencester, just after 11 a.m. on Sunday, March 15. The victims, a teenage girl and an adult man, suffered minor injuries and received treatment at the scene.

Gloucestershire Police confirmed the boy, from Wiltshire, was arrested nearby and charged with wounding with intent, inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent, and possession of a bladed article in a public place. He is currently remanded in custody and is scheduled for his first court appearance at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court later today, Tuesday, March 17.

Detective Superintendent Ian Fletcher reassured the community, stating, “There is no ongoing risk to the public. Officers responded swiftly and secured an arrest quickly. Thanks to thorough investigation efforts, charges were promptly brought.”
