14-Year-Old Boy Assaulted and Racially Abused by Teen Gang in Hereford

A 14-year-old boy was subjected to a racially motivated attack by a group of 10 to 15 teenagers at Whitecross Park on Westfaling Street in Hereford. The incident occurred on Saturday, May 17, around 8:50 pm.

During the assault, the victim was kicked and struck while being verbally abused with racial slurs by the group. Despite the physical nature of the attack, the boy did not sustain any injuries.

Witnesses describe the group as composed of boys approximately the same age as the victim. One individual was noted to be wearing a pink jacket and blue jeans.

West Mercia Police are actively investigating the incident and have called on anyone with information to come forward. A spokesperson stated, “Officers are eager to hear from anyone who witnessed the event or who may have relevant information to assist our enquiries.”
