A 13-year-old boy suffered serious injuries after a collision involving his bicycle and a car in Cam, Gloucestershire, last night. The incident occurred at approximately 10.50pm on Dursley Road, Woodfield, when a red Vauxhall Corsa struck the boy as he rode his pedal cycle. Paramedics transported the injured boy to Bristol Children’s Hospital, where he remains under treatment today, Sunday. Gloucestershire police attended the scene and closed the road overnight to carry out a thorough collision investigation; it was reopened this morning. The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 50s, was not physically injured in the crash. Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam or CCTV footage that could aid the investigation to come forward.
