An 11-year-old boy riding an electric scooter was struck by a car while crossing a zebra crossing on Querns Lane in Cirencester on the afternoon of Friday, June 26.
According to the Cotswolds Neighbourhood Policing team, the incident occurred around 2:40 p.m. as the boy was riding over the crossing. He suffered cuts to his hands and fingers, as well as a broken tooth, and was taken to hospital for medical assessment.
The driver, a late teenager from Cricklade, Wiltshire, was apprehended at the scene and arrested on suspicion of two offenses: possession with intent to supply a Class B drug and driving without due care and attention. He remains in police custody as investigations continue.
